What will you do if your VPN get blocked by Webroot?

Solution: 1 Temporary disable Webroot :

First, you have to locate the Webroot icon in your system tray. Then, you have to right-click on the system tray icon. After this, click on the ‘Shut down Protection’ option. At the end, follow all the instruction to shut down Webroot antivirus protection.

Solution 2: Exclude VPN in Webroot:

For this, first you have to launch Webroot antivirus program in your device. Then you have to go to Virus and Threat protection settings. Now, select Exclusions. After this, you have to select Add or remove exclusions. At the end, you have to select Add an exclusion and after this add your VPN client software.

Solution 3: Add Exception in Windows Firewall:

First, you have to go to Start button and then type “Allow a program through Windows firewall” and then you have to press “Enter” key. After this, click on “Change Settings” options. Click on “Allow another program”. Then you have to select the VPN software you want to add, or click on Browse to find the VPN software, and then click OK. Solution 4: Reinstall VPN client software:

First, you have to find your VPN from the list of programs and then select Uninstall. Then, in the Setup Wizard, you have to have to click on notification after a successful uninstall, so click on Close to exit the wizard. After this, if the VPN is available after uninstalling it, then go to Start button and then go to Run button. Type ncpa.cpl and press Enter key to open the Network Connections. Under the Network Connections, you have to right click on the WAN Miniport. Then you have to select Delete button. Now, go to Start then type “Network Connections”, and hit the Enter key. Solution 5: Add rule for PPTP:

First go to start button then go to Control Panel. Now visit to the Window Firewall then select Advanced Settings. Then, you have to search for the “Routing and Remote Access” under Inbound Rules and Outbound Rules.
